Welcome to the home page for the Local Group of Deep Sky Observers.
We are an astronomy club located in the Sarasota - Bradenton area of Florida.
Here you will find info on becoming a member, Sidewalk Astronomy
events and a bit about the club in general.


We are (finally!) resuming a full schedule of regular events, including quarterly meetings (at the Bishop Planetarium in downtown Bradenton), full moon dinners, and even a brand-new club dark-sky site (for members only), thanks to LGDSO club member, Andy Harrell.

Our first Quarterly Meeting since early 2020 will be held at the Bishop Planetarium (201 10th Street West, Bradenton), on Tuesday, October 24th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
